Who Thought This Was A Good Idea?

Meet the editors, reporters and troublemakers behind The Unseelie Gazette.
theunseeliegazette.co.uk

Founded in 1327 after a disagreement over whether a dragon had eaten the mayor or merely borrowed him, The Unseelie Gazette has served as the realm’s leading source of news ever since.

Our mission is simple: report the facts, investigate the rumours and occasionally publish recipes that probably shouldn’t exist.

Our achievements include:

Reporting on 47 dragon incidents.
Surviving 12 royal complaints.
Publishing 3,482 rumours.
Winning “Best Newspaper” four years running (we were the only newspaper competing).

Trusted by witches, nobles, adventurers and at least one skeleton named Gerald.

"Our mission is simple: report the news, expose corruption and ask awkward questions about who keeps stealing all the spoon."

Court Proceedings

The publishers of The Unseelie Gazette are prohibited from referring to Lord Blackthorn as “The Accidental Duke” following the judgement in Blackthorn v. The Truth (1789).

We therefore wish to make it clear that Lord Blackthorn is not, and has never been, The Accidental Duke.

The Editorial Board

Hagatha

Editor-in-Chief & Founder
Having spent decades collecting rumours, secrets and other people's business, Hagatha oversees the day-to-day running of The Unseelie Gazette. No story is too small, no scandal too insignificant and no source too questionable for her consideration.

Janet

Society & Scandal Editor
From court intrigue and noble feuds to suspicious engagements and embarrassing magical mishaps, Janet ensures readers remain fully informed about the realm's most entertaining affairs. Her sources remain anonymous, mostly because they fear her.

Morrigan

History & Obituaries Editor
With centuries of firsthand experience, Morrigan provides unique insight into the realm's history, notable figures and recent departures. She is widely regarded as the only journalist capable of interviewing both the living and the dead.

Our Reporting Standards

Completely Reliable

Every story is thoroughly investigated if we can be bothered investing it.

Balanced Reporting

We believe every story has two sides. We will happily publish both, unless we prefer one.

Fact Checking

All facts are checked, rechecked and occasionally ignored if the truth is less entertaining.
