New Enchanted Spoon Makes Every Meal Taste Like Turnips

By Our Trade & Invention Correspondent

A local wizard has unveiled what he describes as a “revolutionary advancement in culinary enchantment” — an enchanted spoon capable of making any meal taste like turnips.

The inventor, Professor Bartholomew Crumbwhistle, claims the spoon was originally intended to improve the flavour of vegetables. However, during testing, a minor magical mishap resulted in every food item tasting exactly like turnips instead.

Despite criticism from chefs and tavern owners, the professor remains optimistic.

“Why eat expensive roast dragon when it can taste like a perfectly respectable turnip?” he explained.

The invention has already received funding from three farmers, a confused hedge wizard, and someone who mistakenly believed it made turnips taste like cake.

The Royal Guild of Culinary Arts has issued a statement advising citizens not to use the spoon during weddings, banquets, or first dates.

Shares in the turnip market rose 12% following the announcement. Experts are unsure why.
